Alongside crafting I've wwarmed up to painting minis again. I haven't painted any minis for a couple of years, and I felt quite rusty to begin with. Anyhoo, here's the model I painted, an old favourite from Reaper Miniatures: I've dubbed it "Evginia", after the Pathfinder character I originally bought the model for. It's a lovely sculpt, and I especially like the casual and natural pose. The model turned out better than I thought it would at first: I managed to mess up the skin and the underskirt through sloppy technique and old paints, and had to paint over after a trip to the friendly local game store. I might have lost some facial detail there, but not too much. The picture makes her skin look a bit ruddier than it actually is. I had to learn how to paint eyes all over again. It's always been my particular weak spot (not that I'm alone there...). The green of the robe actually turned out better than I expected - I planned on making it lighter in tone, but it's much netter this way, accentuating the lace more.

Nice job. Wish my eye problem was as good as yours!! Can't wait to see what you come up with once you get un-rusty.

Some fine work you've done on this mini. It'd be pretty good for a seasoned painter, but absolutely amazing for a rusty-eyed returning champion.
