simple solution, ditch the maskes, they are not home made anyway !!! 8)
other question, what do you to seal your stuff ? for now i've used mod podge but that stuff makes me think its just more white glue, though white glue is still a good sealant for me. i'm just wondering what you use for sealant ?

Minwax Water based Polycrylic Clear satin, And I didn't Think of it before but My Gaming Partner said it Makes it Feel like Plastic too! It Defiantly has that plastic Model look to it!
