Why the difference in what the stalks are made out of? Just trying different methods?

That is a nice classic beholder. Why the difference in what the stalks are made out of? Just trying different methods? Yes, and because I was impatient. I started with the chenille stems. I had hot glued the beads to the ends and soaked them in white glue, but the glue was taking a long time to dry. So I made a few out of foil while I was waiting. I am going to make another with more teeth and I'll use the stems on it.
