When sculpting a figure it is best to have all attributes (or most) done during the sculpting faze. Using krazy glue(with zip kicker if you want to work on it right away) is usually a good way to go.

Thank you Jasonblade, I will keep that in mind in the future. I really enjoyed working with Sculpey.

Krazy glue (aka Super Glue) is 100% ethyl cyanoacrylate, it is a very fast, brittle bond adhesive. One of the great things about Sculpy is that it is self adhesive, so you can work on a part, heat set it, then add more and heat set that.. however, it is very tricky doing this without over cooking the original parts! Another, much more forgiving, method is to make the separate parts, then heat set them, then drill small holes and connect the parts using wire 'pins' and bonding with Krazy/Super glue. This is the technique most often used when making alterations or repairs to tabletop miniatures.

Dammit. AJ beat me to it.
I pin most of the parts together using brass rod that I pick up at my local hobby store. If you want to keep costs down, use a paper clip cut to size. To make the holes, your best beat is a Pin Vise, which is a small hand powered drill. The best thing about pinning parts together is you can check to see if you like the way it looks before you add the super glue. That's how I attached the heads of my stone giants. If you're unhappy with how the parts match up, you can easily carve Sculpey to shape. If filling is needed, I use a bit of Green Stuff (Kneadatite).

I forgot to say, the Firebot looks really cool. Well, "cool" might not be the appropriate word for it, but it does look great. I look forward to seeing more of your sculpts. The tile he's standing on is pretty darn awesome as well.
Warning: Sculpting can be addictive as hell.

Thanks for all the great advice. I actually thought that I have seen the last of pinning pieces parts together. Guess not, oh well, I can't stop now. I'll just keep on keepin' on!

I have yet to try Sculpey...I'm a Plumber's Epoxy Putty & Green Stuff Guy, SO you're safe from any advice from moi. However, on the words of praise & encouragement side: that is an UBERCOOL & IMAGINATIVE creation...nice color choices & brushwork to boot! GREAT WORK!
