So I decided Instead of spending $58.00 apiece for each model I decided to make my own and this what I came up with I' think there close enough to the actual models.
The core is balled up newspaper and making tape to create an egg like shape, then I used model magic air-dry Clay to cover the "Egg" and make all the tentacles. The next day clay was dry and I glued on all the tentacles Then smeared hot glue all over the body, then I made the carapace pieces out of cereal box card stock. Will post finished Painted Photos soon, Let me know what you guys think!

Hell yes they are close enough to the models! They look great! Far cheaper and you get the satisfaction of doing it yourself. Win win.

Not up on 6th and 7th edition -- to say nothing of "Nids -- are these basically Tyrannid Drop Pods? The 2 that appear to be walking on their tentacles are the Tyrannocytes which are Basically Tyrannid Drop pods, the other is the sporocyst that sits there and spits out spore mine clusters both come with 5 death spitters and can upgrade those to barbed stranglers or venom cannons.

Fan-Tas-Tic great looking work here! What do you think about a dark purple and orange/brown wash? I think that would burst the awesomeness through the roof Edit: You've probably done the orange/brown wash already. You're just that good
