Well, why not hit the toy sections of Dollar Tree and Dollar General, and take a few pics of what they have. Probably the halloween section as well. I am looking for statuette type minis (stuff easily converted/bashed into either DnD or Super-Heroes minis). Kinda like this guy: dmscraft.proboards.com/thread/2917/venger-ascended-37491Other good ones to look out for are the larger dinos (my Dollar Tree's selection has already been picked over pretty good)

Erasmus, I hit up my local DT and DG, and couldn't find anything with a samurai helmet except a Shredder Ninja Turtle (at $8.50 a pop, I think you might wanna look elsewhere!) Here are gallery links to the pictures I took on my smart phone. Sorry for poor quality, I had sales associates stalking me... one asked me what I was doing and I told her "I correspond with fellow Table Top wargamers, and we are always looking for stuff to convert over for miniatures and terrain... and not everyone's Dollar Stores have the same offerings." She just looked at me like "WTF?" Here are the Dollar General Pickings: And here are the pickings for my local Dollar Tree: I did find the DC mini statues, so now I'm just looking for an Ultron, some Hulks (would like 2-4 of those), The Lizard (again, 2-4). Heroclix would be fine. My Dollar Tree did no have rubber bats (heretics!) but I might be able to find them at the one north of me. Also, I am looking for a Fire Truck in a scale that would work with my miniatures (no more than 2 inches wide). I am also looking for Hot Wheels motorcycles like the one Fungeon Master Dave covered in his video. Anyway, if you see something you like and live in the USA shoot me a PM and we'll work out a trade. Be warned, I'm planning on snagging the toy motorcycle singles for my Urban Streets board.

Erasmus, don't know if this helps, but ImagiNext did a line of samurai figures.

Wow, your DT is larger than my DT...(said in a Spaceballs kind of way). Actually ours is the smallest I have ever seen... They just pack it in tight. And mine doesn't have the Tombstone Corners pieces

Thank you, bluecloud2k2, for going through all of that hassle (literally, it would seem)! I appreciate you taking the time and effort to take all of those pictures. Sadly, I don't think any of it is what I am looking for at the moment, but still a kick-ass gesture all the same!

I had seen some of those. I just don't know that I am willing to swing even $5 apiece for the figures if I'm just going to be decapitating them... since I need two.
I still have time (as well as plenty of other projects for this game), so I will keep my eyes and ears open! Thank you again!

Maybe buy a couple of Dollar Tree action figures, and cut their heads off and break out some Green Stuff or Plumbers Epoxy and sculpt the helemts yoruself *shrug*

Yeah, my fall-back plan is to just sculpt over the existing helmets with GreenStuff. After cutting off the horns, that is.

Erasmas, I found the karate guys I was talking about. They are called Martial Arts playset. Sadly, they didn't have the samurai set. I will be likely swinging by the Dollar General were I saw the samurai figures later in the week. If you are interested, I'll pick them up and send the three heads to you. I could probably make use of the bodies for a future build. If you wanted to send a bottle or two of the pva glue my way in trade that would be cool too.

Absolutely, brother! Yeah, if you can find them, that would be fantastic.
And I would be glad to send you some PVA as trade! And I would stuff in some extras to fill out the rest of the box too.

Speaking from experience, Erasmas' extras are really cool.

I forgot my town has two Dollar General stores. I am hitting the second one after it opens.
Will report my findings.

The other Dollar General had the kung fu guys but not the samurai. Go figure.

You would expect the ninjas to be the more illusive of the two groups... LOL
