This is less to do with the 2.5d tiles (well actually wanting to apply certain aspects and using them as a sort of "decal" on tiles).
Sci Fi gamers sort of go crazy looking for sci fi stuff (tons of fantasy stuff).... When I am talking up the Craft one of my main selling points is that by changing the paint schemes on stuff Dm Scotty and everyone else is doing you can change the dungeon motif into a modern or sci fi tile. The Craft is a good versatile tool.
We have a big, talented, and versatile group here so I beg to ask a question. Is there a decent software package out there for designing starship deck plans? Also I would give my right big toe for a program that would let me make some (outside) starship graphics on the fly. A drag and drop selection of things little hull shapes and doo dads to make a ship.
Having software helps me run my games better. I have found that using a program like dundjinni it helps me know what I need for a layout. Plan out the floor plan in a program to know I need to bring 7 long hall sections, 3 3x5 rooms, ect. Also good for what I call the "bone head factor". That is planning something out only to realise at teh game table that I've only made 4 pieces of (say a T tile) when I actually need 6.

Have you looked at the star ship plans available for Traveller? They have had quite a few deck plan books printed over the past 30+ years of the game's history. They can be found on RPGNow.com (PDF's and print copies), as well as other sites. With regards to artwork, that is a tougher thing to find. Try searching for sci-fi artwork, and see if you can scan in pieces of such artwork, and chop them into ship pieces, as needed. Check your local library for books of sci-fi art, as well as comic book stores. Check online for model rocket catalogs, for additional artwork which might be of use. Best of luck! Cheers!

AutoRealms is what I have been messing around with... before my coffee so was brain farting. I'm looking more for custom stuff. I've seen a million deck plans and none of them really do it for me. I'm still a bit miffed that I can;t figure out a way to have a space ship with spin land. If I was just writing fiction (instead of doing the gaming bit) I wouldn't have the artificial gravity. Big difference between what I have seen in a lot of deck plans on line (and in print) and what I am doing has a lot to do with cargo containers. For the cargo haulers a lot of stuff is put into a few standard sized cargo containers (the ones you see on ships, trucks, and trains). A decent amount of ships never go planet side but have the containers picked off via a tug boat similar looking to the Eagle from Space 1999: Where the center section is can be changed out to take hold of the cargo container or a life support mod to ferry people from orbit to planetside. Technology level wise it's about on par with Babylon 5 (switched from running a DS9 setting). If I hadn't forgotten most of the programming languages I once knew I'd be half tempted to try to write a small program to import a bitmap/graphic and some up with a few corridor, few bridge pieces, and the like and such and try to do it that way.
