hey guys, I just found this forum, it's great, a lot of very inspiring ideas!!! Thank you all! I give a link here to what I am doing. I wanted some kind of 3D modular Terrain to use in our rpg campaign; I also got some of the stock modular terrain, but I build myself these pieces to add to that, and I'll use this technique to add some special rooms. here is the base: marcoreds.imgur.comi took the idea from an image I saw around in the net. I made them using a 3 cm foamboard as a base, then 6 mm foamboard for the walls. I carved the stone squares and bricks on the walls using a heated steel thing, used to also make incisions in wood, cut things into size, hot-glued all together, then painted it all. It is less modular than stock 'commercial" terrain, but it has the same scale, and it is MUCH faster to setup, while still allowing a great deal of modularity. Sure you can't build every single combination of rooms out there, but you can build a totally different dungeon layout every week in just moments, and the "tiles" are very re-usable. Hope you like it! Have a nice day you all!
