I just picked up some sheets of cork board so when I get time I'm going to paint them some sort or cave floor color haha. I eventually made about 20 or so walls and that seems to be enough for now.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been working with my own modular system based off of a 1.5" grid ( I know grid=vile lol). I have dungeon tiles, tavern tiles (thanks again Wyloch) and even an outdoor set im working on. I use walls that come up about waist to chest high on a standard mini. What can I say, I like walls. Anyhow, I was thinking of different ways to make decent cavern wall tiles and I was almost ready to destroy my man cave chopping up pink foam. You have saved me that mess, and maybe.....my marriage. Those are EXACTLY what I have been looking for. Aain.....Thank You!

Saw a documentary on 3D printers with my wife and said something like "the cheapest 3D printters are essentially computer-driven hot glue guns." Then I said that lots of people use hot glue guns to sculpt things. I showed her this as an example of what I meant. Really cool. Understand I am being a little flippant in this thread and not too serious. I guarantee I can recreate this particular design with free software in under 15 minutes and be fairly close. The print time is the issue, but once created I could recreate it over and over and over again. My point is that once you get past the $200 cost of a 3-D printer and if in my case you already have tons of time designing things, the time savings is what makes it worth my time to buy a 3-D printer. Oh but it is not being creative? Au contraire, it actually allows you to do more and more creations at a faster pace and with more creativity. Like to feel like you are molding clay, then use one of many free softwares that let you do creations like clay. Like to stack layers of cardboard to create props or scenery, use the electronic software that is free to put shapes together. Like to sketch things out and then cut them out. Well sketch things out, scan them into an electronic format and then use any of a number of software packages that are free to transpose your sketch onto a shape. Oh then add a multitude of 3-D textures in a matter of seconds to make it yours. Stop being scared of 3-D printers (not referring to the quoted one here but those that won't get into 3-D printing) and realize that it just opens up the creativity and possibilities. 3-D printing isn't for children, but if you can cut and mold shapes effectively, you can handle maintenance of a 3-D printer.
