Dollar Tree has started carrying a Halloween themed offshoot of their Cobblestone corner Christmas village called Tombstone corners and it is a gold mine for cheap gaming supplies. I saw it posted on the facebook group and ran to my local Dollar Trees to get some. Apparently all Dollar Trees aren't putting it out at the same time though, 1 local one had it out the other didn't. You can also order a partial set online for 10 bucks and have it delivered for free to your local store for pickup www.dollartree.com/catalog/search.cmd?form_state=searchForm&keyword=tombstone%20corners. You will miss out on the fences and other style houses though if you just get the online set.
I ended up getting the fence gate, 2 fences, the bone gazebo, masoleum, tombstones, and 2 trees. Miniatures wise I grabbed a 3 pack of gargoyles as the other sets were slightly too big or cartoony compared to the minis I currently use. The gargoyles are the dog type and match the style of the ones on the fence gate so are great to add to your mini collection. All the pieces are fantastic and easily on par with the more expensive versions carried at craft stores this time of year. They are also fully sculpted and detailed on all sides not just the front as most cheap pieces are. The masoleum is a little too skinny but works great as the entrance to an underground crypt. The bone Gazebo and gate are definite must haves for your gaming table and the scale is perfect for D&D/Pathfinder/Reaper/ and other 28mm minis.
The houses were a way smaller scale then the rest of the sets though, the same scale as the cobblestone corner houses. They would probably look passable with 1/32 or 15mm minis. 28mm minis are noticeably too big for them though.
