Here are two forest terrain pieces I built last night. They still need to have a trim and a watered down PVA glue spray to hard them. I didn't feel bad about spending a little money on these, because they will see a great deal of use. Ingredients Model Railroad Trees (28) - $12 2 Cork Bases for Flower Pots - $1 A bag Lichen used for floral arrangements (Still have enough for 6 more trees) - $5 Flocking stuff (I have had this stuff in a box for at least 10 years) - ? Ends up being about $3.50 (3.04 + estimated cost of other flock) a base. I think the cost was reasonable. The Trees can be removed, but I ended up gluing them in because they either kept falling or wouldn't fit tightly. There ended up being gaps at the trunk, but are invisible unless up close or scrutinized.

looks great!
What I love most are the thick tree crowns - you could easily hide an archer or spellcaster miniature in them. Then, when the party walks by: Instant ambush! ;-)

For some reason when making these, I kept thinking that these trees would be great for Su-Monsters. I have never even used a Su-Monster in any of my games. Haha.

Also, hot glue works great adding roots to the tree bases.

Awesome setup sir. Trying to get my trees to cooperate but they must be full of fairies or gremlins or disgruntled treants....Not able to get the moss to hang or set right. A fierce troll with his Cave bear minion...shit forgot my flasks of oil and Fireball scrolls....RUUUUUUUUUUN!!!

Does a mini bear s**t in a mini wood? That is exactly what I was thinking when I placed him there... Hahah!
