This is just using bits of broken brick mortar, some crystal kitty litter, hot glue and three match sticks.
Should look much better with a few coats of paint.

Love it. I did the same sort of thing with chunks of pumice. I like the crystal fragments better I think.

Very cool. Similar to how i made my ice elemental! This is my next big creature after i finish him up. I like the roundness you gave him, it sticks true to the monster! Cant wait till u paint it up.

After seeing Darkslayer's Ice Elemental yesterday, this was what I decided to work on today. I was seriously just about to go scrounge the wilderness for stones. This looks great. I will post a pic of mine when I get it finished. I love it.

Very cool. Should look fantastic painted and flocked.
How well is it staying together and is the mortor you used heavy? I kept running into a problem using real rocks when I tried to make an ele. Everytime I got a humanoid shape it fell apart under its own weight after a day or so. I've been keeping an eye out for some cheap BBQ pumice in hopes of making one out of light weight rocks with holes in them that will anchor the hot glue.
Is your ruler in Millimeters, I can't see the scale?

I used hot glue primarily, and it is relatively small.

Yeah, thats millimeters (so its around 10cm tall), the mortar is lightweight, like a granular plaster, the crystal kitty litter is also light, the glue stick is holding it together fine, the layer of paint will also hold the loose bits in place a bit more as well. Not sure how to base it yet, I was pondering leaving it as is, so I can make a custom base for whatever terrain I use it on.

You should me fine as long as its not too top heavy and you distributed the weight evenly Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards
