I have a stonehenge-type druid circle location, with an obelisk, in the middle. The obelisk is built in 3 sections, with four sides each. Each side has a unique symbol and each section rotates making the obelisk a combination lock. I have a combination algorithm for this puzzle. My question is, what exactly should I craft to let the players figure out the combination? The tile I have crafted uses a foam obelisk and the size makes it impractical to use for figuring out the combination. I need something bigger. The easiest thing i have started with is to make three cardstock squares in three distinct sizes, with the symbols along each side,. They are stacked wirh a short nail through the center to hold it together but let them rotate. Is there something more interesting too make for this prop without sacrificing game play or immersion?
While the combination is dependent on the arrangement of the standing stones in the druid circle, which are fixed, I have no problem with having a 2dimensional representation of them to use with the other prop.
I look forward to all your ideas.

I think you are on the right track with the cardboard representation. You could use a dowel rod through the center to keep it all standing. And the closer it looks to the tile the cooler it would be. Are there consequences for a wrong combo?
Is that your final answer? "Yes". There is a blinding flash of light . When you regain your vision you see a ____________ before you.
LOL, nice idea on the combo lock obelisk.

I think I will upgrade from plain cardboard to foamcore. I might be able to do a squat obelisk of foamcore or possibly model magic (cuz it is light). Any rubiks cube type toys out there that might give me the rotating feature?

Without a doubt, Im too late to the party, but here is a 60 second solution. Just an idea. EDIT: Oops, I did four tiers...just remove one of the pieces of paper.

Actually, I need 4 tiers...the 4th is the 8 monoliths of the druid circle in which the obelisk stands. I just need to make that strip double-sided with 16 symbols (8 per side). Thanks again!
