So I needed a mimic, 'cause...I don't have one
Made this little guy completely out of the poly-clay. He really didn't turn out the way I wanted, but, what can you do.
The throne riser, or whatever you call it, is all Styrofoam and skewers and glue and paint. Got the columns shape by cutting a bunch of holes out of a sheet of Styrofoam with a hole saw. Then stacked and glued, weathered and painted. The skull is removable, so the riser can be multi-use

As soon as I saw that throne riser, and the hanging skull, some Iron Maiden started playing in my head!
HEAVY METAL CRAFTING
HAS BEEN ACHIEVED.

HEAVY METAL CRAFTING
HAS BEEN ACHIEVED. that has got to be one of the "mostest coolest" comments I have received, not just cause I was front man for a metal band, but also a big Maiden fan myself
do I win a new axe for that AJ?

Hiya Kev! thx for your interest and kind words Made the pillars out of foam insulation board, the pink ones, then using a hole saw, and a drill, cut out a bunch of small circles, then stacked them on bamboo skewers, used a hot wire cutter to fashion the grooves, then painted, actually the same that I outlined, with pictures, for the august craft war, passage to the lowerdark, hope that helps
here's the pictures of the finished building, here
