Hey yo,
I finally solved my "how to make water" problems. I don't want to make room specific bodies of water and sat around for hours trying to think of something cheap, easy and modular. First off; I have to thank whoever it was on this forum that suggested buying craft supplies at the .99 store..... AMAZING stuff for a whole $13.00!
I used a roll of drawer liner and some colored vinyl discs (both purchased at .99) and came up with what I think is a great water solution. I made a size that I need for an upcoming adventure but, anyone can create water bodies as large as they like. I'll probably go back in and add some paint details after I let my brain wrap around exactly what look I want to achieve. Basically, I cut the vinyl discs into watery shapes, hot glue gunned them to the drawer liner, used a sponge with white and blue paint and then brushed in the gaps where the black mat showed through. Next up, check for blue mat.
Honestly I like this so much I may create giant caverns using gray vinyl and black and huge outdoor mats using brown, green and bags of bushes that I bought at the hobby store.
