Continuing my need to have a modular dungeon, more rooms have been built by my DM. He asked me to show them here to see what you fellas think. He has actually used a completely different painting style than I have, and we were curious as to which style looks better, mine or his. Once we agree on a style we will be making everything similar from here on out. I like to make my dungeons, well, look like dungeons. I'm not a big fan of the whole white paint drybrush technique unless it's like sun bleached stone work. Perhaps ruins left on an open field for a long period of time would have this look, but certainly not dark, dank, dungeons right?
Anyways, if you feel like sharing you opinion is appreciated, please post your thoughts...
This first room with the portcullis, I actually built the gate mechanism, and my DM built the room, and the other two rooms in this post
Ok, so there's his style, this link will take you to my builds and painting style...let me know what you think

Both excellent, I can see a lot of hours ahead of you two on this, but hey, good results demand hard work right? As for the painting style, I think you guys need to reach a compromise... your dungeon is indeed dark and dank, his are dry and bleached looking... your rooms could do with a little highlighting, his could do with a little more goo and dankiness.. blend them together and you have a perfect balance. Also, love those decorative details, the dragon heads, furnishings, etc. Very cool.

AJ, awesome idea, that way I don't have to repaint everything lol...
that's exactly what I will propose to him, btw AJ, your tentacle idea for the modular base is almost complete
