I need to get the paper backing off of foam board, hot water doesn't work, a heat gun doesn't work, nothing I've seen works. I get it from target if that helps(We get grocuries there once a week so I'm not changing the store just for foam board). Any help? Anyone with the same problem that has found a way?

I think this stuff is easier than the foamboard he gets. Im surprised the heat gun doesnt work. i recomend the cheap dollar store stuff, but if you cant get that i hope someone here knows what to do.

Just swing by a dollar tree. Stuff just peels right off, don't even need to wet it.

yeah, not all foam boards are created equal. The good ones are made to last, and you may find taking the paper off to be more trouble than it is worth.

It takes longer than one would wish, but you could float the foamboard in hot water for a few minutes (maybe 15). You should be able to wipe it off by then. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure there is anything that you can do to get it off that wouldn't damage the foam.
This is a signature. It's my signature, to be exact.

I have to agree with what others are saying about the Dollar Tree foamboard, it comes off the easiest I have ever seen and you don't need to do the heat gun trick! Most foamboards, at least quality one's have a really strong glue holding the paper to the foam, to the point where you can damage the foam peeling the paper off!
