This is a prototype marker for bloodied characters. Used hot glue, a paper clip and the ring from a milk jug. I'll make about 25 for normal size minis and 3 - 5 larger sized markers.

Nice. We went a cheap way: colored paperclips. I straightened them out then wrapped them around a battery to make a ring. We simply hang them from the bloodied character so everyone can remember. We did red for bloodied, white for dazed/stunned, blue/black for separate fighter marks, etc.

I use red foam circles cut to different sizes for "bloodied". I actually have a color-coded system of different foam circles for different conditions so that a mini might sometimes have five or six such condition markers on them. It's tremendously helpful in keeping track of things.

Does ur players actually remember what is what when they r on them?

The 4e group I played with got pretty good at remembering what the colors were, and I had a color code on the back of my GM screen so they could always check, but 4e has much more of the game designed around conditions both in and out of combat. My PF group can remember the basic color meanings, but I do have to remind them sometimes what some of the less frequent conditions are. But just having the ability to mark the miniature at all keeps you from forgetting things. "Oh, yeah, that last round was totally wrong because you forgot that NPC was blind, dude."

I"ll keep that in mind thanks

Good idea Hooks, it looks really cool! You should consider doing a dying marker next. Maybe add some skulls or use cotton to get a smoky effect.

The look is awesome. My only concern would be with its size. Having other minis next to it might get a bit cramped. If someone gets bloodied in a hallway or some other tight squeeze, or more than one mini is bloodied you may run out of room. Perhaps making the bloodied bits stay closer to the mini??

Thank you all for the feedback. I am working on version 2.0. I'll keep mind many of these details. The markers do have to be functional as well as fun for the kids.
