Dirt + cake plate (12x12" trash) + terraclips thrown on top. Easy, takes up little room - AND modular - those cake things come in packs of 5. 5- 12" sq perfectly cut tiles- has foil on top to prevent warping from glue&painting. Painting is black spray paint + browns and yellow.

It took 5min to paint tops. This makes using terraclips easy also b/c the walls are set up in divisions of 12. A pack of cake board at walmart was not bank breaking at all.
