Thig the Mighty vs The Lava Elemental

There was an epic moment in our session tonight, and one of my players took a cool picture of it.  Let me briefly explain what was going on.

Thig, a halfling rogue to somehow turned into an ice wizard due to some magical artifacts that were found, got stuck in a large room trying to help open a magical door for the rest of the party.  He stepped on a pressure plate that opened a door for them, and they were separated by a thick stone wall with a barred window.  Suddenly, an opening on the ceiling started pouring lava into the room.  The party realized they needed to find the switch in that room to get Thig out before the room filled with lava and killed Thig.

They searched the room and soon realized that there was a pressure plate puzzle that would lead to the switch to open a door out of the room.  Just when they thought they were in as deep as it could get, the lava started to move and a huge elemental grew out of the gathering pool of molten rock.  Thig, and his trusty mutt Gramble, faced off in a battle against fire and ice.  It was pretty epic.

That Elemental is sooo over-the-top fantastic! Wow! (Picks jaw up from floor -- again -- re-hinges it back to face). Wow! That is such an amazing figure, and for it to be available commercially, I shudder to think what they would charge. Seeing it in its 'natural habitat' is really neat. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

DMNate, what really makes that figure (on top of the modeling, painting, and everything else!), is the attitude it conveys. I love how you have it kneeling down, to look at the puny adventurer, who is standing before it. The intimidation factor is amazing. Every time I see it, I want to reach for a clean, adult diaper... I believe I can make it, having drooled over your photo's for so long -- I could not have come up with such a monster otherwise. I would really enjoy the challenge of creating a copy of your masterpiece. Thank you for the offer, though. Cheers!
