They are special toy sets from the "Im a celebrity-Get my out!" TV show. My wife found them for 10cent at a dollar store. The ants, maggots, glow in the dark maggots, flies and fake vomit. I really like my armored worm. I have to do some more. I have cutted the head and back body from two ants to get two set of legs and use superglue to glue it beneath the maggot body. The head is from the ant, too. The armor is cardstock, punched out with a holepuncher and superglued overlapping together and glued over the back. Tomorrow I should have a better camera loaded and could make a few detailed pictures.

Giant Ants... They were downright scary back in 1st Ed. AD&D, and they became even scarier in 2nd Ed. I've been tempted to use them in a game, but what I've learned from NatGeo TV about real-world ants, makes we scared -- they're too damn tough in the real world, and in my fantasy realm, they could wipe out cities! I've had those same plastic ants for a few years, but I've only played around with mounting a few, here and there. Need to get back to them, as they could be quite fun in both a BattleSystem Skirmish game, as well as a BattleSystem mass battle game.
Love the ring of ants, by the way. That could be quite useful for representing an Insect Plague spell. Nice work -- thanks for sharing! Cheers!

I play savage worlds, there are swarm templates. So I need some area covering thing and tought that this would be cool to plop it over the players miniature. "The swarm has surrounded you, they are everywhere!" I have some flies from the same toy range. I guess i try something similiar, swarm of flies. I have to mount them on some wire or stick.

I made a Sphinx for the Savage Worlds Slipstream Setting. I could work harder at the face but it was a quick thing for on great battle and I couldnt invest to much time into it. The legs are carton box for cherry tomato from the discounter. It has the correct form. The Body was a large carton box, too. Only the head is cut out out a pizza box. All covered in withe glue and TP (some details like the claws and headdress created with hotglue before). Since it is played in the jungle I mad some jungle plants, too. I still work on some tree (only the lower part of the trunk).

Even though it's a rush job, it pulls together very nicely. These crafts don't have to be perfect, most of the time it's a one use only. Unless they encounter many mayan sphinxes.

Nice work and remember you are building for a medieval setting weather and primitive tools makes for good reasons if your project seems a little off lol
