Finally got around to finishing my basic magnetised village set. The buildings are foamcore and have been undercoated with Creal Magnetic paint. all the greeblies are mounted on magnetised rubber paper. So far I've made adobe , scifi and medievel styles. Next will be some signs for an inn/bar , shops... to give the village a bit more carracter. One Nekkid Village Adobe style Scifi Medievel And nekkid again with all the greeblies nicely packed away.

Some people have asked how well the magnets stick to the buildings. Here's a pic to give you an idea The mini is a Terror mite from Rebel minis, it is a pony sized bug in 15mm. Now if you shake it it does fall of but during normal play it works just fine.

Excellent. However the title of this post lead me to believe that this was some sort of crazy trap... the magnetised village trap... you had the old cogs turning there. Why are all those Paladin skeletons impaled on those walls...? Mmm, falling horizontally to your doom in a misty hamlet on the old road... EXCELLENT!

can't find that brand anywhere. What was your source?

I got it at a local hobby store as it was the cheapest I could find, but they have it at most do it yourself stores. Just ask for magnetic blackboard paint. Ikea sells some as well. Don't get the normal blackboard paint as it is not magnetic, you know you've got the right stuff if your can wheighs about double what the other cans wheigh.

The versatility is fantastic. I'm still looking for a great 2.5D medieval urban technique, and magnetized bits might be a step in the right direction. Great job!
