Nice, I need to see if I can find some of those around here. I have an idea after seeing your pics but I will need a bunch. Have a JoAnns and AC Moore here.

Awesome job. That looks fantastic. My group is going to have a giant octopus encounter coming up within a few weeks and I need to make some sort of boat. I hope I can come up with something half that good.

johnp, get yourself a plexiglass scoring tool. I measure it out and place a metal straight edge on the plexi. I used that tool to score it once really hard, then I score it 4-5 more times. After that just place it on the edge of the table with your score just barely over the edge. Hold it very tightly with one hand, with the other just push down hard and snap it clean on your score line. I used to try cutting it with a blade and it doesn't work well. As for heating it to bend, just use a good heat gun and it bends easy. Nice idea on the ice bridge, I might have to try that one out. Also, another tip since you mentioned doing arcade sticks. I don't ever drill my plexi anymore. I clamp it to my control panel and then flush trim route it for perfect holes every time with no cracking.

Oh and as for the snake, some kind of process happened with that snake because now its head feels more like foam than rubber. If anyone has any good idea how to permanently seal it then it should be fine. I could grey it up and make it a zombie snake, but I need a way to protect it.

My bases in those pictures are cardboard for the fly, cardboard for the snake with card stock wrapped over the corrugation, and a 1" square piece of laminate flooring for the centipede. I need to go out on the table saw and cut myself up a crap load of different sized bases. The laminate floor is excellent and I can get a LOT of based from one piece.

someone will show me a puppy and tell me thats a dragon... i'll laugh at him for even thinking that way. Hmm, see now I have to disagree. My 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels were named after Game of Thrones characters. The older one on the right is Sansa. The puppy on the left is Bale, otherwise knows as Balerion the Black Dread. Doesn't he look fearsome! So now someone HAS shown you a puppy and told you it was a dragon =)

Jazhi, I ordered a handful of Reaper Bones to try my hand at painting this week. I bought a couple decent brushes from AC Moore. I just hit twice on a Superbowl board so I figure its time to buy some paints. I am thinking if I really want to do minis then I need to go with Reaper, Citadel, etc for my paints. I can definitely see a difference. I have a bunch of .59 cent "My Studio" paints from AC Moore which work just fine for cardboard but they cover like crap on minis. My friend gave me a bottle of Palmer Prism Acrylic and that stuff covers like a dream. I know I need to buy better paints & brushes for doing minis.
