So, I build my first shelf. But I liked to cram things into it. Books was easy-there are some videos on youtube how to do books. But I like things to put there in a Orc lair, bandit cave or something like that. Not books but more simple things. Maybe some eating plate's, a really small chest, a flask (i've seen use of glas beads for flask), some clothes. What did you use to craft such things.
I have used some simple toilet paper folded and glued/painted to give the idea of a stack of clothes, but didnt have more ideas. So my shelf look really empty. :-)

Ah indigo777, thanks for posting that! I had been to abaroths world in the past but never bookmarked the page and try as I might, I couldn't find it again!

Sadric, when I was laying out some shelves for my own game I just looked around my house to see what I had on my own shelves. Of course a lot of what I found was anachronistic, but it gave me ideas, a flashlight became an oil lantern, binoculars became a spyglass, a radio became a lute, etc...
One of my shelves even has a folded up cloak on it.

Great link, thanks. I have made a ton of books but my Sunday night PCs are going to liberate Blackstaff Tower and more wizardy trinkets for the tower are something I've been needing to make. This will help alot.

This guys has some other really nice ideas too. So should check out the rest of the page. He has some really great brush techniques for textures, for those of you (not me) who have painting skills.

Yeah DMDojoMaster, Abaroth has been doing some amazing things with Hirst Arts molds and has carried that over to his tutorials! Granted, the Hirst Arts pieces don't pertain to what we're doing here, but you can use those ideas and modify them for the 2.5d methods.
