If you've ever ran 4e, there's a good chance you have a ziplock bag full of monster and NPC tokens stashed somewhere. I've found them to be quite useful for crafting--wheels, round tables, even bases--but rarely use them for games because, well... So I just use minis, even if they don't really look like the creature I'm trying to represent. The module I'm currently running, though, came with really cool tokens for most the important NPCs. They have the faces, along with names on the back side, which is red for when they are bloodied. I like them because seeing a face really helps make characters more memorable, and recognizable, but a one inch circle isn't really big enough to use as a "face card." Anyway, the other night it occurred to me that if I could attach them to minis, I could solve both problems. Here's what I came up with. I used a weapons and warriors mini, because I have a ton of them. I cut off his head, and bent a piece of a paper clip into a small clip and glued it on top. Finally, I added a pinch of miliput to cover the cash and secure the clip. Afterwards, I looked through the old zip lock and found probably 50 or 60 other unique faces. Not sure how long it will hold up, but I plan to make about 4 more anyway. Do you guys think I should paint the minis a bit? I left this one black so the attention would be on the face, but I'm kinda thinking it would be anyway.

Interesting use of the tokens. I use them frequently when I don't have enough minis (or the correct minis) for some encounters. However, I stand them up with some plastic token stands or binder clips. That way they at least can stand up in the same dimensions as the minis.

That's probably a smarter way, really. I just happen to have a ton of these weapons and warriors fellow, so it's worth sacrificing a few. I've made statues out of a few also.
