Attachment Deletedlove these ... this is the exact method i used when making my chairs but your embellishments are great and add a great amount of depth to the chairs. I think i also used 3/4 inch blocks not 1 inch . thanks DMScotty

What a great technique dmscotty! This is going to allow me to make some usable dungeon dressing that will both look cool and will stand up to vigorous play! Awesome technique!

I went through a great deal of trouble designing and making chairs out of paper, clay and craft wood.
Then, in a session at a dinner party I pulled out about a dozen chairs to put around the table.
Worst logistics of any session ever. The chairs were just a major pain and we eventually removed them and I put some flat foam disks on the board to represent chairs and the players put their mini on the disk to indicate they were sitting down. That worked great.
I've more or less ignored chairs since, except for a few thrones that had significance.

I agree with you adamantinedragon, I usually go very light on the furnishings.
