And for those of you who'd like to see how this comes in to play, here's a shot of the level of the dungeon it occurs in, along with the room description (written for Labyrinth Lord/BX D&D, adjust as necessary) 6.) The smell of ale, better than any the PCs have ever smelled, wafts through the air in this room. If the tap on the keg is disturbed, it will fly off, and ale will spray violently into the room, eventually forming into a Beer Elemental (AC: 0, HD: 12, hp: 64, ATT: 2d8, MV: 90’ (30’), S: F12, M: 12) which attacks immediately. The elemental will freely move between areas 6 and 5, and will pursue to the stairs, but will not go north/south at the four-way intersection. If defeated, the PCs can collect one bottle’s worth of ale from the elemental. This would sell for 1,000gp to the right buyer.

Hilarious! And nice sculpt. I like the foamy head and churning movement. Do the slam attacks include inebriation damage?

And now our next mach-up will be...
"ALE-mental vs The Drunken Master!" As the elemental gets weaker the master gets stronger.
Hilarious sculpt, well executed.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!! Hilarious! And nice sculpt. I like the foamy head and churning movement. Do the slam attacks include inebriation damage? Mwa ha ha! I hadn't planned on it, but I think inebriation damage would be epic... perhaps for each successful hit by the alemental, a PC will get a cumulative -1 to hit, until they've had some sort of Cure spell cast on 'em.

Edit: I'd be interested in seeing stats for this beast, for whatever version of the whatever game. Here's how I statted him for our game (Labyrinth Lord/BX/BECMI D&D): (AC: 0, HD: 12, hp: 64, ATT: 2d8, MV: 90’ (30’), S: F12, M: 12) I believe I'll do something along the lines of any time a PC gets hit, they get a bit drunker, and will gain a cumulative -1 to hit, until they've been hit with a Cure spell.

Sir. It is just that type of dedication to the highest standards of creativity...and beer, that makes this forum specifically and crafting in general a pastime and community of which we can all be proud. Kudos

That is completely awesome and is now at the top of my list! Our next game night will have the chars. in a local tavern and now I will make sure they get to encounter a Beer Elemental! I even have the same Hirst arts Keg in the pic. Somehow it will have to burst out from it and attack! WOOHOO!

Meant to ask, did you make that with Scotty's toilet paper roll technique?

Meant to ask, did you make that with Scotty's toilet paper roll technique? Nope. I wish I'd taken pics of the build process... I made this after our game session on Saturday, so to start off I grabbed a beer bottle cap that hadn't been bent too bad by the opener. It was perfect for the base. Then I used aluminum foil to build up what was essentially just a column about the same diameter as the cap. The rest was just lots of hot glue - making rings around the base, letting them set, then circling again, ad naseum. Same with the "head", I just took my time making layers of glue. Here's a pic of the bottom, it gives a bit of an idea how I did the rings.
