Thanks for the nice comments! I just finished the smaller of the two. Thought youd like to have a look see! So awesome DK...... I love that you jumped in and did these.... too cool..... Hopefully over the next few days I can finish up on the two I have going and can finish up the tutorial. I've been super busy with some other minis I needed to get completed, and I've got some playoff games to scream at on the tv....

WoW! These are incredible. Now I'm gonna have to make some Treants too! I have been working on a forested area and a Treant (at least one) would fit in perfectly. Hope mine will turn out half as cool as these!

I have to say when monkey first started me thinking about it I was a bit nervous. I had never sculpted anything more than foam hills.I found out like a lot of things in life once I got into it and got my creative juices flowing it was actually quite a great bit of fun. Mind you there were times I would stop go rewatch Dm Scotty's video for sculpting faces on dungeon doors (great tips on sculpting there)and go back fiddle some more. THere is definately an AH HA moment when the model goes from looking like a pile of melted goop to something nice.

These look awesome. I can't wait to get started on making at least one. How tall are your ents?

These look awesome. I can't wait to get started on making at least one. How tall are your ents? Thanks! The Treant of mine is approximately 12 cm/ 4.5 inches and is on a base that's size would be used for a "Huge" sized monster. Of the two "Animated Trees", the largest is about 10 cm/ 3.75 inches and based on a "Large" sized base, and the smaller is at 9cm/ 3.5 inches and is also based on a large sized base... Hope that helps....

Love how DK went for a more "realistic" look... while with mine I went for a more "minimalist" look... Cool to see how versatile this method has turned out to be... A big thanks to Brutis for the inspiration!
