Yes, this is "right". That is one right-eous collection! Wow! While I have a decent collection of mini's, it is nothing compared to this -- around 1/2 of mine are un-painted... Very cool.
Hope you have an organized method of storage so that you can find the figures needed, in a short amount of time... My biggest problem is locating the figures needed, when needed (improvisational gaming is fun, but I end up using the wrong figures rather than delaying the game to go find the correct ones). Cheers!

I organize mine by hit dice/Challenge Rating.

Started my collection back around 2002 with a starter box. Bought them when I could and occasionally buy a case or two. A lot I got from Toad and Troll game store on the internet. I keep them in separate bins by race, some of them I have in gallon sized bags for larger bases. Cards are stored the same way in card protectors. I only use monsters that I own while DMing .

Hence the reason I have several of the same kind of. Mini's . I mainly run games that hang around certain areas like the DaleLands in the forgotten Realms campaign. Have a good size unit of Zhents some forty strong with twelve Calvary. And twenty four DaleLands Militia with Human outriders as cavalry. Also have many model's from the Red Hand of Doom module .

I often wonder if there is anyone on my side of the planet with a miniatures collection as large as mine. The great thing about it, aside from just having them when I need them, is that they are used in three active weekly games by any of my friends who needs them for their campaigns. By the end of a decade, I expect some of them will be worn smooth.
