Q: What do you find to be the best thickness of cardboard? I have been using packing boxes, with a 3/16 strip of card-stock for banding? Q: For tile boarders how wide do you cut the cardboard, ? a 1/4 inch seems to be about right? Right? Q:You have used "mini-cardboard" before in your crafts, where do you get it? What is it recycled from? Q: If you could be any type of tree, what type of tree would you be?

I think I'd rather be a self-balancing binary search tree.
I think the best kind of cardboard I've found is whatever I end up with in my garage that I can cut into usable bits.

Well I have used a variety :
Pizza Boxes ( frozen ) Pizza Rounds from the frozen Pizza ( Clean ) Cereal Boxes Amazon Boxes
The one thing I avoid is the really cheap cardboard from china.
For my double layer stuff we get t-shirts in these white boxes that is excellent, most everything else we get is good quality Single.
I really liked but don't know where to get the stuff my 13x19 Photo Paper comes in, its stiff as hell, micro cardboard, nice and thin but sturdy enough if you need it for something thin.

I use double ply cardboard that I get from laboratory supply boxes, I also use card from cereal style boxes and bits of polystyrene packing material.

Double ply card board I get from work I like how sturdy it is but it can be difficult to cut sometimes.
