I took two things: An old mayonnaise jar and an empty 'Gene's Vitamin E Creme' jar and decorated them rather nicely considering it was my first try. I will use them to hold my dice collection (when I actually have a dice collection )
I'll explain further, but here's a quick materials list:
This reason I say they're 'unfinished' is because I plan to hit the containers themselves with transparent orange and blue colored glue gun sticks if I can find them, for fire and ice spell effects. This was my very first attempt using hot glue and I accidentally melted the mayonnaise jar! (that's why you'll just see the cap, which I'll put on another jar in the future)
Here are the mayo jar lid on the left, painted black with a ring of green bingo tokens and a circle of brutal metal BBs. On the right is the other jar, painted white and decorated with BBs and bingo tokens of all colors that were available to me. You can see the little scratches on the body from me removing the laser-printed logos and bar codes from the container. The scratches will be invisible when I'm done decorating it with colored hot glue.
Okay, you see that blue spot on the mayo lid? Obviously the lid was blue before I painted it. Terrifying horror story: I believe the lid is friggin' haunted by craft-trolling spirits. I REPEATEDLY hit this with a torrent of black spray paint, but that one tiny spot would NOT be covered with paint. The first token I glued to that spot also fell off which is just strange because brush-on Krazy Glue is incredibly strong, even just a light ribbon of it.
Hardcore and super kewl colors and metal
There should be a Rush 2112 sticker slapped right in the center, but I don't have one
Thanks for checking out my first post, I hope you like it! I'll post more pics when these dice jars are all done. (Most likely after the holidays)
