One of the fun little advantages of playing gridless is I can even play on a map with grids and just ignore them. Many of the dungeon tiles I have are made with grids but I can just measure and go where I want with the mini or token and not worry about the grid. Kind of nice the freedom to use other maps and mats and stuff if I want. Just a thought.

Same here when I began with no models in high school, just maps on grid paper, as well as 40k and such, no need for grids!
Our group still uses grids occasionally especially with a new player, but I find using rounded templates and a ruler is much simpler and quicker.

Yep, no conflict either way. I use grids when RPG'ing, for simplicity and speed. When playing mini's games, no grid is used. It's all good, man (Saul Goodman). ;-) Cheers!
