It's been quite some time since DM Scotty posted here. He pretty much switched over to doing his posts on Facebook. Some of the other forum posters might be able to tell you if there are any dungeon/terrain-crafting related activities going on at GenCon

Haven't been to Gen Con since the mid-90's, when it was in Milwaukee. Trying to get there for business, as I am working with my nephew who builds custom gaming tables. Watched videos showing the vending hall. Truly looking forward to scoping it out for that reason, alone. Not really into RPG's at a con, but mini's games are usually a blast, at con's. The vendor's hall is really my favorite. Sooo much eye candy... Cheers!

nightshade , if you would like to organize a DM's Craft informal event at Gen Con, there are open tables, or, at least, there were, back in the day... My first Gen Con was back in 1982, in Kenosha, WI. It was small, by comparison to today's mega-convention. It's been over 25 years since I last attended, back in 1992, I believe. I have no idea how it is run, today. You could post on here, and on FB, that you are hosting a get-together, show-and-tell event. You would need to post where/when. Then you can gauge the interest level, and move forward from there. It may be that no one else will be there, but you won't know until you post it. I doubt I will make it this year, but I am hoping to make it there next year. Shawn and I plan to scope it out, first, then sign up for a vendor's booth the following year, if his finances allow (will cost many thousands of dollars to rent stalls, haul tables and product there, put up the volunteer staff in hotel rooms, feed them, etc.). Vendors pay a lot of money to be there. Make sure you visit their stalls and buy products you like, to support them. They spend a lot just to be there. Cheers!

Change in plans: I might make it to Gen Con this year, Saturday only, to check out the Vendor's Hall. My business partner can't make it, but others might go with me, to help defray the costs. Working on building a plan... Kind of reminds me of The Blues Brothers' Blues Review -- One Night Only! (The Blues Brothers movie reference.) Hope to firm up our plans within the next 48-hours. Cheers!
