So I really haven't made much stuff but I'm super excited to dive into the deep end of D&D crafting. I've watched hundreds of vids from Scotty, Wylocch and BMC and have learned so much. I'm working on gathering my materials and tools and hope to claim some crafting real-estate in the basement real soon! To entertain myself I thought I'd take a crack at tavern chairs (for a table setup). I started by building a paper template and printing it out. ( there is a link to the PDF below) Folding, cutting and glue with glue stick. Yielded a pretty stable chair. A smidge of hot glue on each leg at the point it connects with the seat made the legs stiff and tight. I then added a small bead of hot glue up each back rung to stiffen the backrest and give a slight rounded look to the up-rights. I did a quick paint job, just to see it without the distraction of the template lines. I think a bit more painting will make a big improvement. I then cut a couple of small flat toothpicks to make the braces for each side of the legs and added a small trim on the back of the seat where the backrest starts. The final chair was surprisingly stiff and secure, sits nicely and looks pretty cool I think. The cost of these is so low I hardly know how to calculate it. Basically you got one laser print or inkjet, a few dabs of hot glue, glue stick, two flat toothpicks (optional) and a bit of paint. Would love any feedback you all may have! Cheers, Scott Here is a PDF of the template: drive.google.com/file/d/1zilVGtyu6duMx-U6B7I5NsWmozzrcWIR/view?usp=sharing

Welcome to the forum!
Nicely done chairs, and it's great that you shared your template. The hot glue on the back spindles and the toothpick pieces really give it a 3D effect - nobody would guess that it was from printed paper.

Thanks, I made a few more chairs. Each one took less time than the last. I made a few mods to how the seat attaches. I'll update the template soon as I have worked it out completely.
I think I can probably make one of these in about 15 minutes which isn't too bad.
