The latest from the BMC channel, how to speed build an earth elemental(Below for those who have not seen it) I was inspired and I had some time throughout the weekend for this dude: Very fun build! Hot glue, foam PVA and sand! Almost went with mud and stone, but I went with the simple paint job and flocking. I really enjoyed seeing a few here, so thank you for the inspiration! My party will enjoy being pummeled to death by this guy!

Wow! I assume that is the 24-HD variety of Elemental, not the 8-HD?... [Old 1e AD&D reference: three varieties to be encountered, back in the bad old days: 8-HD, 16-HD, and 24-HD. Different means of summoning would pull different HD versions of the beasties for you.] Looks superb, by the way. Very inspiring. Makes me shudder when I think about putting that model next to a castle wall section! Cheers!

Its going in the Gargantuan category with 20'x20' on grid.... I'm a perpetuate of scale creep anyway!
I saw one recently(maybe here?) that was twice the height, looks friggin cool!

I did it again, I made another smaller one! In doing so I decided to make an encounter with him, starting with the big one expecting the party and NPC to pick away at him(literally) until he is this smaller elemental. Ive got a mud monster I'm thinking of using after this guy is reduced, we will see! The rubble and his tri-bun buttocks(i dont know why there are 3, i just glued them on) are aquarium rocks for weight and "looks"
The family That larger elemental's raised fist is proportional to the rest, but it looks crazy big in the pic
Too much time a foam on my hands!
Go forth and craft!

Thank you!
I made chunks for upper and lower arms and legs, hot glue to connect them.
Stuck large nails through the feet for weight.

When using Hot Glue on insulation foam, use the Low Heat setting/gun. I used High Temp setting, and it melted the foam!... Low temp Hot Glue works really well on this type of foam.
Love the idea of reducing the Elemental in size, as the players whittle him down to size, literally! Fantastic idea. Wish I'd thought of that, years ago.
I think your design approach is brilliant. It really looks like an Earth Elemental should: earthy, made of dirt and rock, with some vegetation added, for good measure. Cheers!
