Hi everyone, I started crafting just about 8 month ago, fairly rapidely after learning how to DM. I was quite inspired by DM Scotty's videos, and so I thought it would be fair to post here what he (and others after) basically inspired me to do. But very (VERY) quickly I realised that what I enjoyed the MOST doing was monsters and miniatures. Now, as I am nowhere near the talent of a scupltor, and greenstuff work is rather tedious (and associated success rate rather low, in my case), I keep using the wire backbone technique to create all sorts of monsters (other than humanoids). Here are some of my favourites... actually finished: imgur.com/a/oAY95I hope you guys find something interesting, nice or maybe inspiring and I'll be waiting impatiently for some insights, comment, advice or even (constructive) criticism. Cheerio

Thanks guys, I'll try to present more creations but I tend to start many projects and let them sit for ages before adding the final touch. So I'll wait for something to be complete to post some more. If anyone is interested in discussing the techniques I used, I got plenty more images showing some of the steps. Cheerio

I tend to start many projects and let them sit for ages before adding the final touch. I'm the exact same way, something like 50 projects sitting in various states of undress. It seems like for every one I complete, I start a dozen more. I'd love to know what technique you used on the ENT body. You've got some sweet figures there, always love to see more crafts in the neighborhood.

It seems like for every one I complete, I start a dozen more. I'd love to know what technique you used on the ENT body. You've got some sweet figures there, always love to see more crafts in the neighborhood. The Ent was simply made of 8 pieces of metal wire (~10cm long) twisted together. Then I took some paper tissue, separated the sheets individually and applied small pieces with white PVA glue (inspiration came from DM Scotty's tutorial on how to make a tree). Et voila! Pretty basic technique. I quite liked the result after painting, which was very basic too: two different shades of dark brown plus a tan for the dry brush and a basic dark brown wash. And the final touch, the flocking for the foliage! I am currently working on its big brother: the tree trunk behemoth, which will use the exact same technique but on a bigger volume and a far more twisted skeleton xD. I'll keep you posted guys. And thank you sooo much for the support!

Posting photos of your work in progress pieces is a GREAT way to get advice & encouragement. You would be surprised just how motivating comments can be. AND your stuff is GORGEOUS.

Hi crafters! I can finally post some pics of the Ent big brother, the tree trunk behemoth (better than Bob right?). I am looking forward to hearing comments, thoughts or critics of any kind. I'll also post more (elementary) crafts soon as I've been kept busy. Hope you too! Cheerio m.imgur.com/nNzb5jf

Hi crafters, It's been a while but I've been kept busy crafting my 5 elements cycle: Here are Small and Medium-scale fire elementals (say hello)
And here the stone counterparts:
I also ended up crafting a yet-to-be-determined monster... Tar, Darkness or filth elemental??? Any other idea? Finally, I'll show you an unexpected success, in my opinion at least: the Gibbering mouth
I've painted his teeth in ivory since I took the picture but I with give it a dark wash to recreate such a rotten-teeth effect (I quite like it). I am still working on the Large Stone, Fire and Water members but I'd like to cure them so it'll take a while. I would love to hear more comments and especially ideas you may have for further improvement. Cheerio

Back in 1.5e, there was a Mud Para-Elemental Plane -- formed at the conjunction of the Water and Earth Elemental Planes. Perhaps he is a Mud Elemental? Very nice work on all of your Elementals. Can you post a how-to on them? Cheers!
