Hi yall,
I've noticed that most of the dungeon tiles in the pics here are more of a granite - black/gray coloring. I prefer a beige more sandstone appearance myself. Has anyone tried using the Rustoleum American Accents Pebble stone paint before? -edit- It is the same brand of paint that DMS is using in gray but it looks like beige stone -end edit- Do the tiles in more beige tones come out looking as awsum as the grey tones/ or do they look a lot more like cardboardy?
Sorry to ask this question in the forum... I know the right answer is to go get a can of the spray paint and give both a try and then report back to you guys with pics. I just moved into an apartment in the city - and I don't know where I can go to spray paint things yet. Probably not a good idea to spray paint in the apartment. I will be back at my old place on Saturday, but that will only give me enough time to try one technique - so even though I think I would prefer the beige stone if it just looks like cardboard I'm not sure when I would be able to go back and re-spray them.
Thanks!

I'm thinking of using this color gor my cavern geomorphs as well, but instead of using lighter tones to accent the walls and make them pop, i was thinking of darker tones...
A bit undecided about this however

Here is a side by side of the Rustoleum Stone Textured Finish paints. The textures are similar, and feel kind of like sandpaper when they're dry. We are using these tiles for a dwarven hall carved into a desert canyon wall. The colors turned out very convincing for us. The base coat is the same, the cheapest can of flat black on the shelf. I'd be curious as to your thoughts on a different color to cap the walls; the gray doesn't look right to me.

If it's a canyon you should go with the sandstone one because for that situation the grey just wouldn't look right. They both look good though

@ hawk - The sandstone color texture looks great! I've been going with a more blue/grey color myself, using house paint color matched from Citadel Shadow Grey and SpaceWolves Grey.
But I do like the sandstone color texture also! Thanks for posting the pictures!
