Wow. When you get a chance set up the whole bunch together for a shot. Must be an impressive display.

While they look good, one suggestion for other trees done that way or similar, the swirls are neat looking, but for most trees you would tend to pretty much only have vertical markings on trees.

Yeah I agree with you. It does look silly on some of them. Unfortunately I already made a dozen or so but the next ones will be better.

I got super into making these at one point last year and made about 10 or more. The rest are still packed away. They could work for any race living in trees I guess, but I made them for the elves. Some of these I didn't flock yet cause I liked the paint scheme I did originally, But I will probably flock them all eventually. These trees are lovely. Are they just exteriors or do they have interiors (and levels) for game play? The texturing on the trees is a bit off putting, but...if you see them as vines, they look pretty good. Ancient trees would be covered in vines like these. Consider going with making them vines by repainting and possibly adding a leave here and there. You don't have to repaint all of them though. You'd want to keep some of them brown to simulate dead vines. That would enhance the realism.

Thank you. Some of them are just exteriors, but the big ones have insides and even levels for use. They were all made with hot glue and foam board.

To be honest, I didn't even realize that the texturing on the trees wasn't intended to be vines until someone pointed it out. It works as vines, and I agree with Romana that if you paint them up accordingly, they should be fine.

A good technique would be after applying the hot glue, is to run the metal end of the glue gun on its flat side to smooth out the glue, as to not let it have the blob or round areas of glue.
It'll help give a better vine feel and look. Still a great start and end result though, keep up the great work!
p.s. just my two cents
