Greetings all, Thought I'd share some pics of my desecrated grounds piece, I need it for a Cultist scene I plan on doing down the track. i.imgur.com/IbhB0IO.jpgThe pillars are just foam with PVA glue and tissue paper for texture (Same as how DM Scotty does is his Boulder trap video) , and the tiles are just card stock with a sprinkling of shell grit for extra texture. Overall it will do the job, and I think It will come together once I make some of the Cultist ceremonial props. On that note does anyone have any cool cultist themed props they have made? (pics would be cool if possible) or does anyone have any cool custist prop Ideas? i.imgur.com/IzoABjQ.jpgWatch out Argon!! Zombies!!! i.imgur.com/oVo6kzW.jpg i.imgur.com/T8IEike.jpg

Nice, I like it! How big is the base?

It looks very realistic, so I would suggest only 1 or 2 props added. What type of cultists are yours?

An easier prop for a cult thing is a workable circle.
Draw your circle with an internal pentagram on it (perhaps with an exterior pentagon as well), make sure it's a dark set of lines of the right size you want.
Then take some wax paper and hold it in position over your other piece of paper so that you can see your pattern on it.
Get some small gravel (aquarium gravel works well for it) and either tacky or white glue, around your outer ring, put a bead of glue and position your gravel to make the outer ring and then cover it with fine sand. Let it dry thoroughly, then give it a sealing layer of about 50/50 white glue/water over the top and let it dry.
At that point, use your hot glue gun and make the internal lines inside the circle with it, you want a thicker, consistent set of lines there and make sure they connect to the stones as well so that your entire piece is solid.
After that cures, peel it off the paper, I then brushed full strength white glue over the entire thing in sections to strengthen it and make sure everything remains intact.
Let it dry entirely before painting it. If you use red for painting the interior lines and then hit it with a thicker layer of gloss varnish, the result looks like it was done with blood...perfect for a cult ritual circle.
I would also suggest that when drawing out the template at the beginning, have a few minis of the sizes you want for normal summoned monsters and abominations by the cult on hand so that you can judge base size to fit inside the outer ring

Looks good. I think a sacrificial altar would be a nice touch, with a statue or emblem of the deity in the background, say a golden sickle and oak leaf clusters.

Thank you guys, the base is roughly 12 inches, I like the Idea of a workable circle and I'm thinking a sacrificial altar is a must as well. The Cultists are Working with a necromancer who is trying to summon a banished demon. The Demon is actually a dammed character that I had a player make with me during a one player game I did set one thousand years before the current game.

The summoning circle looks pretty cool, would be fun to make one though. Braziers are something I want to do more of, I have done a few with LED candles but making some "evil" themed ones would be nice.
