I watched a couple episodes of the Terrain Tudor (not sure why I hadn't done that before). Loved the Wheat Field he did....so I thought I better make some...with my own twists. Door Mat fields. Scarecrow HeroClix converted into....well, a scarecrow. The crow was a Ral Patha mini. I just cut him off the skull and books he was sitting on. Wheat bails are just twine rope I pulled apart and tied up.

You probably should have worked some of the air drying clay into the edges of it to keep the obvious lip from sticking out...it would also keep the edges from shedding and the edges from peeling up

Thanks, everyone! You probably should have worked some of the air drying clay into the edges of it to keep the obvious lip from sticking out...it would also keep the edges from shedding and the edges from peeling up The air dry clay was the one thing I didn't like about the video. I used E6000 to glue the mat to the plastic so it isn't going to peel up. I also used watered down PVA around the edge of the wheat so it's not going to shed. At arm's length you don't really see the lip, so I felt it wasn't necessary. If at some point I did want to do something to it, I wouldn't use air dry clay.
