and this tree is cool but all the base stuff doesn't need to be done for a DnD game just hot glue it to a cardboard base and flock it.

These actually look very nice when done. I have done a few myself and you can get varied thicknesses etc. Post some pics when you do them.

Looks great. Just want to say, for anyone trying this, please be extremely careful.. if finger is inside the loop without noticing, you'll quickly lose a finger.

Thanks for posting the videos! I've seen other videos where people have used wire to make trees. They do look fantastic, especially on model railroads.

Wire trees tend to look good, but take a lot of work to develop the skills to make them look right

Second video is exactly what I needed to see. I just need to make the "bottom half" of a tree for my forest tile project, so that there is minimal stuff to get in the way of fingers.
