Rockin!
What layer height are you printing at?

Sorry Wyloch, I got reading some other threads back when you posted this and forgot to respond. I did a lot of experimenting with these so they are printed at various sized ranging from .1mm to .3mm. There are a couple batches where the top layers were messed up but for me, they are good enough for table play. If you look in that last picture you can see a couple of the pieces where the tops of the wall were cut off. It was literally a couple passes from finished so I just painted them and used them. I am pretty easy going with it though, as you can tell with my unfinished paint jobs. Some day I might get around to finishing them up for a consistent finish throughout....until then I will just keep dazzling my players with those "unfinished" tiles.

Excellent! I need to complete the task of printing the necessary tiles from Wyloch's True Tiles set. They are gorgeous, and you have done an amazing job laying out your dungeon. I like the different levels you've made. Great!

This stuff is gorgeous, but I'm leaning away from 2.5D, more and more. The more I see 2.5D tiles like these, the more I lean towards full 3D terrain. Not taking anything away from it, period! It is stunningly good. I'm just more of a miniatures gamer than I realized, until recently. I'm really developing a liking for BattleSystem Skirmish rules, using full, 3D terrain pieces, as it is both a mini's game, and an RPG, of sorts, though I will keep it separated from my RPG -- no crossing over with the RPG PC's.
For my RPG's, I typically use a 2D BattleMat with wet-erase pens (I have 2D printed tiles, gorgeous stuff from Fat Dragon Games, but I rarely use them, as the mat is so much faster, and easier, and my players actually prefer the mat and pens approach); for my miniatures games, I run as close to full 3D, as I can muster. I guess my brain puts these two things, in separate boxes. Strange realization for me. I thought, for a few years now, that I really liked 2.5D, but... Can't explain, just is what it is, according to my personal chemical imbalances in my gray matter. Love seeing the stuff, though. Cheers!

I instantly fell in love with those stalagmites. As soon as I have a craft corner, I'll try to make similar ones without 3D printing. *rubs hands*

I love the compromise 2.5D presents. BattleMats and erasable pens certainly have a high degree of flexibility relative to everything else, full 3D terrain is very pretty. I find myself needing more time to create either one. Unfortunately, for me, there isn't one solution that fits every situation. Personally, I would love a fully rendered 3D virtual world and every player to have headsets, surround sound, motion and kinetic input control, and tactile feedback, but I don't have that kind of funding nor any friends with those levels of resources.
What would it be like if we didn't have to settle, compromise, or jury-rig solutions for our art given the medium to which we have access? The real-world intrudes into our fantasies...
