We all know Dollar Tree is good for supplies.
I had bought (on line) stuff from Harbor Freight. Minor stuff like epoxy paddy, some clamps, a helping hands.... stuff like that.
So I'm on their mailing list. I'm doing some cosplay builds. What'should on sale? Heat gun and EVA foam mats.
Good place for checking out if you need some actual tools instead of supplies.

Same here. My view is this: If you need something for your work or that will be used nearly every day, then buy a brand name tool. They tend to be more reliable and take a beating. If you're like me and use them once and a while for your hobby, check out Harbor Freight. They have reasonable prices, and they may not be top quality tools, they get the job done for us hobby types.

With the name brand stuff moving manufacturing plants to 3rd world countries, and skimping on quality to line the pockets of their share holders even old stand by some like Black and Decker and Craftsman . Granted if I was still doing carpenter stuff I'd be going with steal cases and a touch higher quality. For craft use the stuff at HF is a good bang for the buck.... also helps reading the reviews before hand.

the only thing i can tell you... if you can't find a toold you need. create it yourself ! otherwise i think pretty much all the places you look at are also usually selling the tools.

Handy thing I found was a wood burning tool that has an exacto blade, saw someone use it and never knew they were a thing. Want to talk about sealed and clean cuts on foam
