I want to start a list for miniatures that fit into the frostgrave theme.
In this thread I want to concentrate on miniatures that fit into the soldier role.
I think a dedicated thread for wizards and apprentices and a thread for monsters would also be nice. I'll start this one, if there is enough attention for this topic and no one beats me to it, I'll start additional threads.
Lets start with the official frostgrave miniatures by Northstar Miniatures. I have both the soldier and the cultist set and from what I can see they both fit very well into the 28mm scale.
Soldiers:

Cultists:
Theses Guys are enemies, but you can mix their body parts very well with the soldiers to get more variety.

You can find more skillfully painted frostgrave miniatures here: nstarmagazine.com/ (Northstar Military Figures -> Frostgrave)
Unofficial Miniatures that might fit into the frostgrave setting.
Old Games Workshop Minis from the
Bretonian
Kislev
Empire
From what I have seen so far, the new Age of Sigmar Range is a bit too heroic...
Kings of War by Mantic Games
Basilean Men-at-arms
Basilean Paladins
Basilean Crossbowmen
Basilena Sisterhood
Regarding the Sisterhood. I love these miniatures. Does anyone know about other female soldier units that don't come in chainmail bikinis?
Perry Miniatures - Plastic Miniatures
WR1 Plastic Wars of the Roses Infantry (bows and bills)
'Mercenaries', European Infantry 1450-1500
WR 50 Foot Knights 1450-1500
Gripping Beast Plastics - SAGA Miniatures
Viking Herdmen
Saxon Thegns
Dark Age Warriors
Viking Starter
Saxon Starter
More Saga starter sets can be found here.
I also love the metal miniatures by Gripping Beast. You can find them here. Pitty that I try very hard to remove all metal miniatures from my gaming table, so they are out of question
For now, this is the end of my list.
What other miniatures do you use?
If you have one of the sets above, how much do they fit to the official frostgrave miniatures (scale and style).
Cheers,
Patrick
