Found this awesome video of a guy actually bulk casting his own minis. i think the video is worth showing because it shows you what you need to start doing what big companies do and it seems to be so simple when you think about it.
so here you go for those who wants to know how big companies do it. well not exactly like this, but the same principles.

yeah i remember you doing one of these. i'd be down making one too. but i'm wondering how it works with plastic and what kind of plastic to use. im not a metal mini guy.

Plastic is typically too thick, too paste-like, to flow, even with centrifugal force. I don't think this approach will work at all, with any type of plastic. Plastics are typically injected for these reasons. I made different types of projects in a plastics class, back in the late 1970's, using more than just injection techniques. However, for objects this small, I think injecting is the only way which will work, due to the elasticity issues.
I would love for you to prove me wrong, though! Cheers!

was asking the same question really... is it capable of doing that with some type of plastics, if not then im defeinitely not doing this. though i thought to myself that resin may just be working though. i mean its liquid enough right ?
anyway lots of stuff to think about before making one of these. but for those using metal... right on people.

Resin might be liquid enough to work, but can be very expensive!

Resin is toxic, and proper safety gear is a must. If you want to cast figures yourself look into gravity molds, and rtv mold making. There are several companies who sell the materials.
