Are those printed? If so wow. If not WOW! If so, can you point me to the .stls? Need these for Frostgrave immediately if printable, otherwise I'll need to imitate your work. only thing that is printed is the window inserts . Search thingiverse for "arch window" the rest is 1/2" rigid foam insulation (pink foam) Really nice work. Thanks!

By the way, I scaled down the X and Y to my liking but left Z alone. X and Y were to big for my project and Z had to remain the same to be the correct thickness for the 1/2" pink rigid foam insulation.

How's the blue skin color on this Frost Giant? Do you like the overall color scheme? The beard and hair will be white. I did some mixing of paints since I didn't have this color. EDIT: no the legs don't have tights lol. I didn't want to finish the skin until I got some feedback. Evidently it's too dark I guess.

It looks good, but you might want a little more white in the skin color. I thought at first that he was wearing blue hosen. Might be more obviously skin when all the skin is painted the same.

I didn't want to paint all of it yet. Was looking for feedbcak/criticism before I did the harder parts of the skin. So should I just dry brush on some white? or do I need to redo the base, mids and highlights of the skin.

If you don't enjoy painting minis, then don't. There are tons of free paper minis here
onemonk.com/dryw-gallery1.html
including frost giants. They aren't as cool as your figure, but they will do the job. And there are other free paper minis out there. Then you can focus on making the cool terrain and props you have been posting.
Or just use any figures you have without painting them/

Very Frosty I second this lol. Not sure what you guys mean lol. If it's because the top part of the mini's skin is unpainted (white), well I didn't want to finish paintign all the skin the same color as the legs until I got some feedback.

Margaret, those paper minis look good. I was kinda in a bad mood when I said I hated doing minis I guess. I mean they aren't fun yet but they might be. Sorry for the drama. I'll keep trying the painting. I'll look at those links you gave me on painting.

jennifer , try simple block painting, with basic colors. Then apply Magic Wash*, or The Dip**. If you don't like the results, no problem, just soak them in Simple Green cleaning solution, full-strength, for a week, and then clean with an old, unused, dental brush to remove the remaining paint. Try a different technique, if you like, after that. I paint armies, and my figure count is well above 500, after 20 years (actually, this indicates just how slow of a painter I really am...). I sacrifice quality, for quantity -- with zero regrets. I have armies painted, and on the table; high quality figure painters typically have fewer figures done, and ready to game with. Your game, your decision. I have tried paper miniatures, and while I like them, and I actually enjoy using them, my players do not. My fellow mini's gamers dislike them quite a bit, so I go with figures, and everyone is happy. Cheers! *: Magic Wash is Klear/Future Floor Polish/Pledge FloorCare Finish + acrylic paint of choice, to make a wash in the appropriate color needed -- in this case, a medium to dark blue. Matte clear coat when dry (15 minutes). **: The Dip is Minwax Polyshades Urethane Stain, either Tudor (Black), or Royal Walnut (dirty, dark brown), painted on, as opposed to actually dipping the miniature in it; soak up pooling areas' excess varnish with the edge of a paper towel. Matte clear coat when dry (2+ days, if air drying). These notes are for those unfamiliar with these techniques...

or you could go the cash road like i do... i think minis are worth putting money into. considerig they msotly not lose value and mostly gains it over time. its not as if the money was lost. in the end i hate painting minis. so i just buy them pre-painted !

Well maybe I'll get better at it. I'll keep trying. Or maybe I just wont' care and paint them the best I can and worry about repainting them later. I hear one can just drop them in simple green for a week and start over.

You can buy 100 prepainted World of Warcraft Miniature Gameminis for $35 shipped via the bay. Not everything is useful, but it is often a nice assortment of stuff and high quality to boot. The ones you don't like you can dole out to others or resell. They do tend to be on the largish side.

Not being able to paint anything since my surgery, you amongst others are inspiring to see your techniques and outcomes of what you come up with
