SO I did some work on the Mushroom Box. There are 60+ new small mushrooms & the more personable Mushrooms have received green stuff attention: AND one of the Mushrooms is now a finished sculpt: Two more were completed after the pics were taken. They will show up eventually. AND the Dwarves have gotten some paint: Coming along slowly.

Later the same day: While there may not be more photos today, work will be progressing.

AND two more & a touch up done with some waiting in the wings: The fellow in the middle got a fuller look to his face; the flankers are new: Have a good night!

When I reluctantly called it a day last night, this is where the Mushroom Box stood: The four latest additions: AND the day stretches out before us...so to speak.

AND later the same day, it's a wrap. The last six or possibly seven are sculpted: ...with an overview of The Box: Have a good night!

No morels? Our favorite mushroom here in eastern Ohio. Buttons are too risky. One bad 'sroom and you're 'sroom food. These look like a right nasty lot, too. Keep up the good work. Love to see 'em.

Morels slipped my mind...next time perhaps. I don't think I would trust any of these Fellows. Thanks for the reply, Sam. I am glad you like them.

Along with the latest Box of Mushrooms, I had a couple of dollies made up for the toothy Jack O'Lanterns. Today I "fleshed" them out: I had a few others already made up. With the Reaper & Reaper-like Jack O'Lanterns, this could be quite a mob:

One of the fellows on the Reaper Forum mentioned the arms I sometimes add to the Mushrooms...he thought there should be more of them. The ones I use are the bare arms from the plastic G.W. Zombies & Ghouls. The numbers I have are rather limited. THEN it occurred to me that I could make my own arms & add the G.W. hands...making hand is one of those things I am working on. The results: I'll see how well it paints up later today...probably.

Great arms! I've read that hands are about the hardest thing to paint / draw correctly. Maybe this is true for sculpting too?

Glad to see that your 'shrooms will be properly armed even if you run out of arms. No, I can't resist cheap puns. Never. But seriously: They look like the premade arms when the greenstuff is painted up. Making arms is one of those things I never tried to master so far, even if I have not nearly as much appendages in stock as I would want to have. I too have a few leftover zombie arms, but their number is steadily shrinking. Looks like I have to add yet another thing to the evergrowing list of things to do.

They won't all have arms, but there should be a few more advanced types...may be more than a few. One of the wonderful things about the craft is the never ending interesting things to learn to do. Thanks for the reply & the pun, Daniel.

The Troll & mushrooms have a ways to go, but they have some color now. It gives you a hint as to where I am going with this...kind of.
