Have you ever seen one of those Epic Movies that start with a distant view of a VAST Landscape. The camera slowly zooms in until a solitary figure fills the screen...Lawrence of Arabia comes to mind although I may be imaging this one. SO from a distance: The Work Shop (actually about half of The Work Shop but that doesn't sound all that dramatic): ...zooming past Cavern Gray Scale: ...over the Egg Carton of the Dark Hold W.I.P. Goblins: ...circling the gathering Mushrooms of Various Types: ...we arrive at the Sources of Distraction: ...there; wasn't that FUN? If nothing else it illustrates what happens if you have a tendency to flit from project to project. Since all the pieces are more or less for the same Grand Finale, it isn't quite that bad...hopefully. AND I will update this as things progress...probably.

Alan, this is... it's - yet again - oe of the moments I wish I had a A2 printer and enough wall space to hang avery single picture of your post. Seriously, I mean it. Your sculpts, the characteristic color schemes you use, the whole look and feel... Each time I see your works, I positively know that no matter how hard I would try, I'll never reach that. And still it doesn't bother me. Because you have to reach for the stars to, in the end, reach the treetops. Which would be pretty good already.

AND I do appreciate you taking the time to say so...I have to do that more often myself. Actually I admire your work as much as you do mine. You have the skills &, more importantly, the imagination to create some jaw-droppingly-cool pieces. When you've done it for as long as moi, you will, I'm sure, have left moi in your dust. *sigh* ...as always: Breathtakingly beautiful!
Tim Burton wouldn't have been able to do it better.

You stuff looks great! Really like the color combinations that you have chosen for your paint jobs! Thanks, skunkape! I'm glad you like the stuff, especially the colors. I enjoy the bright colors while subdued has become chic. *sigh* ...as always: Breathtakingly beautiful! Tim Burton wouldn't have been able to do it better. Thanks, tauster! Tim has the advantage that his stuff can move & talk...other than his gallery pieces. As always, any comparison is a compliment for moi, AND GREATLY appreciated. Here's the latest Dark Hold Goblins, The Good (good being a matter of perspective) Padre & Monk: ... AND seen here with The Adventurers I backed up by The Adventurers II & The Militia; The Knights are off to the right: ...The Barbarian may show up later today...or not.

I love your stuff. Where do you get the mushroom caps that you use or do you make them yourself?

Thanks for the reply, Meph. I'm glad you like the stuff...that's how I think of it all myself. I make all the mushroom myself; I could send you a few samples if you'd like.

No need to send any samples. Do you have any threads up showing how you make them? I think they look fantastic.

I really like those. Where are the miniatures from? Very stylized. Much different from the norm.
