Awesome, in the usual quirky way. Everytime I see a new creation of yours, I wonder how you stay so true to your style.

Awesome, in the usual quirky way. Everytime I see a new creation of yours, I wonder how you stay so true to your style. Thanks, Daniel...glad you like it. I guess I have developed my own approach to the craft. It asserts itself in anything I do, whether it is something I have been doing for a long time or something totally new. It isn't any thing conscious.

AND later the same day, the base has received a coating of sand, the tree has bead(y) eyes & a green stuff face sculpted with DAS air dry clay bark: The DAS takes about 36 hours to thoroughly dry. SO i'll have to be patient.

SO I did my white over black base coat on all but the DAS parts of the base (it's a base base coat in this case): Tomorrow the DAS gets a spray of workable fixative & the white & black treatment. THEN the fun painting begins. What miniature or miniatures will be mounted on the base is still anyone's guess.

While I was marauding my way through the Vault, I started another Haunted Forest/ Spooky Woods base: Now I have to find a few PERFECT minis... sigh.

The second base is progressing nicely. I have sand covering the ground; the wire branches are done; AND the air dry clay bark is sculpted: The branches should get the hot glue treatment later today. Then all but the DAS parts will get base coated...probably. SO until then...whenever then is.

SO I now have the trees on Base #2 all spray coated & with a hot glue treatment to the branches done: I had a few inquiries as to what materials I used. It's hard/impossible to make out in the photo, but the floral wire (green in this case) is 22 guage/caliber). Here is the stuff: I also started on a Troll who wanted his photo taken: AND thus the day begins.

Everything is now base coated including a Stonehaven Female Troll Mage who may be gracing the second base. Who is on first is anyone's guess as well as a classic Abbott & Costello routine: More later...possibly.

Not much progress, but I did get some paint on the trees. The one on the left has the bark pretty much done: I figured I would need a couple of Mushrooms for the bases; the type with faces. Unfortunately all the ones I made recently are on their own bases. SO some new ones in the works: I did mention I was easily distracted.

I got some work done on the Creepy Tree Bases today. The bark is done. The first Tree has his shelf mushrooms painted. AND I added & painted some moss: Trees can take sometime to do...most everything does.
