well there is one thing i noticed over the years as i aplyed d&d and saw a lot of people create their own set of rules...
its that people even if not conscious of it, people choose the best character they can be. or chooses the best looking roleplay model. han solo i s aroleplay model to me. same with anything else then a jedi. jedi are so over powered int he universe that its hard imagining anybody playing anything else. but again that depends on the books. if the books downgraded the jedi alot, i can understand people not wanting to play them.
my only exemple of this is... races from d&d. 3e had made the humans and feats so necessary, that almost nobody ever played anythign else then human. just because it gave a free feat right away. so i fear the game does the same. but then again i'd ahve to check on the books. maybe i'll do this... yeah i'll have to check on th ebooks. i also fear that my players may not be into star wars so i have to definitely ask them first.

I have never played a sci-fi campaign, let alone a Star Wars RPG. It's weird because two in our group are total Star Wars nerds (but they mostly delegate that to the computer games). But seeing this post and a few others, heck yeah, I would learn.

Very well done. I like the light effect as it adds a lot to the creation's feel.

Yeah, I am primarily a fantasy guy... and I am constantly seeing/saving pieces that are only suited for modern or sci-fi. Great job on this! I love seeing stuff that is kitbashed together from "nothing" into an awesome final finished product like this! Erasmus, use those bits for a wizard's arcane engine, an alchemists lab or to flesh out ruins (or an iron or stone golem) left by some ancient race. If you play pathfinder start introducing stuff from the technology manual. Very little is unusable for fantasy if you look at it from another angle. Other ideas: gnomish or dwarven inventions, steam punk, clockwork, buried ruin, alien (aberration) architecture or artwork, "modern" art...

Yeah, there's very little of that in the homebrew world I run my fantasy games in, if any of it at all. But... it's still a great idea!

Great looking terrain piece! I agree, the lighting really does add a lot!
